    My experience is a varied story! I have worked at Molescroft Primary School for 13 years, I was also trained there as part of the Graduate Teacher Programme.

    Assistant Head Teacher

    Since becoming a teacher 21 years ago, I have always been passionate about supporting others. For the past 19 years, I have successfully mentored ITT trainees and NQT’s within school.

    Over the last ten years, I have worked across early years, mainstream and special school settings, most recently leading Maths and the 14-19 department before becoming Assistant Head.

    I am a Research Lead, Super-curricular Lead and a teacher of English at Beverley High School.

    I have been involved with NQT/RQT training across the city and East Riding since 2007 and part of my SLE role has been to plan and deliver training.

    I have worked at The Hessle Academy, a through school organisation, since 2012.

    Teaching for over 16 years, my main subject is Performing Arts. However, I have taught in different subject areas across the curriculum during my time as a teacher.

    In 22 years of teaching, many of my roles have enabled me to enjoy training and developing teachers.

    I have taught across all three key stages, spending five years in a primary school with a responsibility for ICT.

  • Annabel Jackson

    Assistant Headteacher

    Having been employed in a Senior Leadership position for twelve years, I have amassed substantial experience in supporting with Initial Teacher Training / NQT development and as an SLE for Tidal Teaching School, specialising in the areas of Early Years and phonics.

    Associate Principal (Highlands), Acting Head Teacher (Bude Park)

    As an effective and innovative practitioner, with over seventeen years of experience in education in a variety of roles, including as a Headteacher, Associate Principal, Deputy Headteacher, School Improvement Consultant, University Lecturer, SCITT Tutor and Lead Teacher/SLE.

    After earning my First-Class Honours degree, BA Primary Education from Manchester Metropolitan University, I began teaching at Croxby Primary Academy in Cottingham.

    I have worked as part of the Teaching and Learning team at St Mary’s College for 6 years. We are required to conduct educational research and deliver training to staff on our focused improvement areas.

    Over the past 13 years I have worked at Spring Cottage Academy and I have thoroughly enjoyed working alongside the wonderful children and staff.

    I joined Teach First in 2013 and was assigned a place as a science teacher at Winifred Holtby Academy. After the usual “kangaroo hop” beginning of a career in teaching, I was promoted to Head of Biology in 2014.

    Over the last 4 years I have worked with a number of schools across the East Riding as an SLE collaborating with leaders and teachers to improve standards, increase consistency and ensure progression.
